BREAKAWAY (#1) and OFF THE ICE (#2) are now available!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.comBlogger30125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-2169057793345927372013-12-03T08:00:00.000-05:002013-12-03T08:00:01.989-05:00Teaser Tuesday with PresleyThis is it. This is the final teaser that you get before <i><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18522983-off-the-ice" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Off the Ice</span></a></i> comes out in <b>two</b> days. Levi and I both know how hard Lindsay and Mary have worked on our story and it’s going to be EPIC! <br />
<br />
Levi and I have enjoyed these several weeks of releasing the teaser for you all! <br />
<br />
Without further ado, here is one with Marley (you know that girl is a little nuts, sometimes) and my mom.<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“I’m starved. Didn’t realize spending other people’s money would tire me out,” Marley jokes as she bites into her chicken sandwich. I just shake my head as I dive into my salad.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Mom clears her throat before she says the one thing that makes my stomach turn. “How long have you and Levi been having sex?” </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Marley begins choking and I stop mid-bite.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Mother.” I quickly swallow my food before it comes back up. “I don’t want to talk to you about this.”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“I’m just curious. I figured you were still a virgin.” </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Marley snorts at my mom’s comment.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Hey,” I poke her. “I’m not a slut.”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<br /></div>
Hope you loved the teasers. Be on the look out for the book!!!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-25034449349860944352013-11-26T08:00:00.000-05:002013-11-26T08:00:07.699-05:00Teaser Tuesday with LeviThis is the last teaser I’m sharing. That means that <i><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18522983-off-the-ice" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Off the Ice</span></a></i> releases NEXT WEEK! Presley, because she likes having the last word, gets to share the last teaser. That’s okay, though. Her <a href="http://thepenaltykilltrilogy.blogspot.com/2013/11/teaser-tuesday-with-presley_19.html" target="_blank">teaser last week</a> got me thinking and she’s had a bit of a potty mouth in <i>Off the Ice</i>. Not a lot, but when she does, it’s kinda hot. <br />
<br />
That said, I’m happy to share this week’s teaser. <br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Do you like this shirt?” I ask her. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Her brows scrunch together in confusion. “I guess. It’s not my favorite or anything.”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Good.”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Wh-” she starts, but her eyes widen when I grab the thin fabric and begin to tug hard. Her shirt has no resistance and easily begins to tear in two.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“You really like lace, don’t you?” I ask, kissing the cleavage peeking from the top of yet another lacy bra, this one a nude color. Looking up, Presley seems a little shocked that her torso is now showing, her shirt torn open, but she looks so hot too. I push her shirt off her shoulders and then run my hands down her chest to the button of her jeans.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Don’t mess these up,” she whispers, her eyes focused on my hands.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Wouldn’t dream of it. These are my favorite jeans, Smarty.”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<br /></div>
Let me just share now that I really like lace too. ;)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-48926001085751089152013-11-19T08:00:00.000-05:002013-11-19T08:00:01.840-05:00Teaser Tuesday with PresleyHockey season is in full swing ladies and gentlemen! It’s my favorite time of year, hockey, autumn, and cold weather. There is nothing like a big Pittsburgh Penguins hoodie and cuddling up with the one you love, watching hockey, yelling at the ref, and trying to figure what hybrid icing is.<br />
<br />
With all that going on, I thought I would give you a teaser of a more serious matter in <i><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18522983-off-the-ice" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Off the Ice</span></a></i>. This is one with my parents:<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
“I can’t believe this. It’s bad enough that Trevor and I had to be separated, but now it’s all okay to get back together. Is it because there are no kiddies at home to get the house dirty? ” I shoot a look at Mom. She was always complaining about the house being dirty because of us. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
“Presley, I don’t know what’s going on, but I highly suggest you shut your mouth now.” Dad’s face is red with anger.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
“We were under a lot of stress when you kids were little. It was harder then, but things have calmed down. Plus, when Trevor gets drafted, we can go as a happy family,” Mom adds.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
That’s it. That’s the straw that breaks it all. “Oh, of course. Let’s make sure that we’re a perfect fucking family for ESPN!” I shout at her.</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
</div>
<br />
Oh, you know it’s bad if I’m throwing out the F-Bomb. Can’t wait for you to read the rest of that scene!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-66411835384670190092013-11-12T08:00:00.000-05:002013-11-12T08:00:11.655-05:00Teaser Tuesday with LeviAnother week, another <i><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18522983-off-the-ice" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Off the Ice</span></a> </i>teaser! I have an answer to <a href="http://thepenaltykilltrilogy.blogspot.com/2013/11/teaser-tuesday-with-presley.html" target="_blank">the question </a>Presley ended with last week: There are <i>lots</i> of things you can do to me, but I’ll save the rest of this conversation for later. <br />
<br />
This teaser makes me smile when I remember the moment. <br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Levi!” Presley’s excited voice comes from my right, and I turn to watch her walk up to me. My eyebrows rise at the bags she’s carrying and then higher when she sits sideways in my lap. “Guess what I just realized?”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“What’s that?”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“I’m older than you,” she grins. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“A few months hardly counts as older. Are you finally done shopping?”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“It counts for me and I think that I should have some sort of leverage because of it.”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Laughing, I say, “What kind of leverage?”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Let’s just get back to the hotel before we hear something we don’t want to,” Marley interrupts. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Presley’s cheeks flush slightly and Trevor adds, “Doesn’t that make you a cougar, Pres? Older woman with a younger man?”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I bust out laughing and briefly the thought of the scratches on my back flashes in my mind. “Does this mean you’re going to teach me a thing or two?” </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<br /></div>
Presley has definitely taught me a thing or two.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-90082986695983468432013-11-05T08:00:00.000-05:002013-11-05T08:00:04.460-05:00Teaser Tuesday with PresleySo, Levi has been yammering in my ear all day, and I’ve been trying to study. Thank goodness, Lindsay and Mary were able distract Levi so I could share with you all this quick teaser for the second book: <i><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18522983-off-the-ice" target="_blank">Off the Ice</a></i>. It won’t be too long before you will be able to purchase it.<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Standing outside my car, Levi wraps me in his arms. There is still snow on the ground and it’s freezing, but in his arms, I’m perfectly warm. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Wanna come home with me?” Levi asks.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“What? We hardly ever go to your place.”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Yeah, but I figure change is good. Besides, I have a better selection of beer and DVDs than you do.” He smirks at me.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Yeah, right.” I slap his shoulder, which doesn’t do anything since he has a hoodie and a jacket on. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<br /></div>
*eye roll* Oh, that Levi! Ladies, what am I going to do with him?Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-6122877154745534392013-10-29T08:00:00.000-04:002013-10-29T08:00:05.018-04:00Teaser Tuesday with LeviI’m back! I had tons of fun last time, so I talked Mary and Lindsay into letting me come back more often. Plus, it seems that Presley and I are going to be the ones sharing the teasers for<span style="color: blue;"> <i><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18522983-off-the-ice" target="_blank">Off the Ice</a></i></span>. How cool is that? Although, I think Presley wants to share so she can keep a closer eye on Lindsay. Presley has a pinch of jealousy in her. Don’t let her fool ya. <br />
<br />
While Presley has a little “green monster” in her, I do not. And that is a perfect intro to the teaser I’m sharing today. <br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Do you want me to be a jealous jackass?” I ask, repeating her words. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“No, but a little jealousy is nice.” Her lips barely form a pout, but it’s definitely there.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Smarty,” I start gently, “I admit that I don’t like how I didn’t even seem to intimidate him and that he seemed a little too confident with me glaring daggers at him. I will even admit that I don’t like the fact that his lips touched you at all, but I wouldn’t call that jealousy.”</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Oh, no? What would you call that, Mr. Green Monster?” She smiles playfully at me, and I’m so happy I can amuse her.</span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“I would call that a slight bruise to my ego.”</span></div>

Those girls are so busy, Levi just doesn’t understand. Although, I’m becoming concerned with Lindsay’s obsession with Levi (it’s getting scary). I might need to remind her that he’s mine.<br />
<br />
Anyway, since the girls are so busy, and Levi shared a teaser last week, I thought I would would share one today. <br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">We head off, and I begin telling Levi about this huge project for my Constitution class and how stressful it’s been. Then Levi dives in telling me about his Organic Chemistry class project. Needless to say, it’s going to be a long semester.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“There’s my girl.” I leap out of the SUV, and Victor wraps his arms around me in a big hug. </span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“No, Pops, I’m fine,” Levi yells as he goes to the back of the SUV. </span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Hush, Levi. I hug you all the time. It’s not every day I hug a beautiful girl.”</span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Aw, Victor. You’re the sweetest man ever.”</span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“Hey, what am I?” </span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I turn to see Levi, loaded down with my bags. “Meh.” I try not to crack a smile at him, but Victor busts out laughing.</span></div>
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</span></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I just love Victor. He’s a great guy. What did you all think?</span></div>
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-55461824823372562442013-10-15T08:00:00.000-04:002013-10-15T08:00:12.796-04:00Teaser Tuesday with Levi<span style="font-family: inherit;">I’ve been in a talkative mood lately, but Lindsay and Mary have been ignoring me. Sure, they are busy doing this or that, but I’m Levi Carr. How can they ignore me of all people? And I know that Lindsay has been thinking of me so much that she’s borderline obsessed. Yet I’m still being ignored. What the hell? I think each of you should let them know that they better be writing and writing me. I’m sure that you all want more of me. Sounds like Lindsay and Mary need to be told that. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">So why am I here? Because apparently, Lindsay and Mary are <i>so</i> busy writing someone else that I have to be the one to come and share the first teaser for <i><a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18522983-off-the-ice" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue;">Off the Ice</span></a></i>. Unfortunately for me, they chose this one.</span><br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: 0.5in;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">It still baffles me how close to she is to me when she lies with me. I’m surprised she doesn’t somehow become glued to me. I love it, though. Having her like this is one of my favorite things, not that I would tell her. I can just imagine the reaction if people found out that Captain Levi Carr loves to cuddle. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.13in; text-indent: 0.38in;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">No, thank you. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0in;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Here I am, sharing my personal thoughts with these ladies, and they write <i>all</i> of them down! I guess it comes with the territory. What can I say? At least three ladies want me. Who am I to deny them? </span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-8491923342740724302013-09-13T08:00:00.000-04:002013-09-13T08:00:10.746-04:00Updates!<b id="docs-internal-guid-6ab30518-156d-e40d-63ab-d9c4c67df703"></b><br />

<span style="font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">We have a couple things we’d like to share with you, but the first is about the second book in the trilogy. Our betas loved it and soon, it will be off to our editor! We are still very much in love with Levi and Presley and book two dives into their lives even further. As soon as we have a synopsis, we’ll share that with you and get a Goodreads page set up too. At that time, we will also announce the title of book two.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Before we get to a surprise, we do want to say that the work for book three has already started. </span></span></div>

<span style="font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Now, here is our surprise. We have a few more things in store for Levi and Presley. One of those things is a novella. It’s a bridge of sorts between book one and book two, covering the Christmas holiday. </span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /><span style="font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">

This story is going to be completely different. </span></span></div>

I may have cried at her kind words. But, I'm so excited to do this post about her.<br />
<br />
1. LP has talent oozing out of her. I'm in awe when she is writing. I could read her stuff all day long!<br />
<br />
2. LP is the most loyal person! She is loyal to her BFF, her dog, her Penguins, and to her characters.<br />
<br />
3. She is always worried about the characters of the books! I love that she writes with so much respect and makes sure she keeps them real.<br />
<br />
4. She has a quick eye for a mistake or detail out of place. Sometimes I miss some of the details, but she is quick to see that it shouldn't belong or that it was written differently before. I LOVE HER FOR THAT!!!<br />
<br />
5. She loves Hockey as much as I do!! Well, she might not be as vocal as I am about it, but she is!!<br />
<br />
6. *sigh* I might as well say it......she loves the Penguins more than any other person! *shudders* I'm still trying to have her come over to the Blackhawks. I mean, come on, we have the Stanley CUP!!!! But she likes these two guys .. I don't know their names though *shrugs*<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
7. She is so funny! I'm a big jokester and she is right there with me, <i>sometimes</i>, and it cracks me up.<br />
<br />
8. She is passionate about her projects! No matter the story, scene, or project she puts in 150% no matter what. Oh, and she can write some serious SEX scenes !!!<br />
<br />
9. LP is a NIGHT OWL! We stay up into the wee hours of the morning writing and when she says she is tired, I know it's got to be close to 3 am! HA!<br />
<br />
10. She is the GREATEST PERSON! In all seriousness, LP is indescribable. I can't say enough how thankful I am every day to be part of this amazing journey with her. I respect her and love her more and more every day!! Keep your eye out for her because someday she will be huge!! She has the drive and passion and I can't wait to see what she has planned for in the future<br />
<br />
LP I love you so much !!! I can't wait for our next adventure.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-89825243376916589962013-08-19T08:00:00.000-04:002013-08-19T08:00:12.269-04:00Ten Things Lindsay Learned About Mary<b id="docs-internal-guid-1365c7ab-9188-ecfb-8ef5-14072984fed8"><span style="font-family: inherit;"></span></b><br />

<div dir="ltr" style="display: inline !important; line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<b id="docs-internal-guid-1365c7ab-9188-ecfb-8ef5-14072984fed8"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b id="docs-internal-guid-1365c7ab-9188-ecfb-8ef5-14072984fed8"><span style="font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">A lot goes into writing a book and even more so when you’re writing that book with someone else. You learn a lot about that person when you talk to them every single day for hours at a time. You learn even more when you are working together. Mary and I thought it would be cool if we shared some of the things that we learned about one another with you!</span></b></span></b></div>
<br />
<b id="docs-internal-guid-1365c7ab-9188-ecfb-8ef5-14072984fed8"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /><span style="font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Here are ten things that I learned about Mary.</span></div>
<ol style="margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">She is an amazing person. I talked to her every now and then before we started this process, and I knew that she was pretty great. Working with her though has shown me that she is so much more than a book lover and a Chicago Blackhawks fan. She’s sweet, caring, smart, and simply fantastic. She’s a wonderful person, friend, and co-writer.</span></div>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">When Mary gets nervous about something, usually one of her great ideas, she always starts by saying, “Okay, hear me out....” That’s her sign that she’s nervous and there is never any reason for her to be nervous. She has great ideas!</span></div>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Mary loves making lists as much as I do! It’s good to know someone who enjoys that as well.</span></div>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The girl is packing lots of enthusiasm and it’s contagious. When Mary gets excited about something, she gets </span><span style="font-style: italic; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">really</span><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> excited. It’s fun to see that she feels so strongly about something that she can get that excited about it and believe me, it’s hard not to get as pumped about it as she is.</span></div>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">She may be crazy. My BFF thinks I’m “obsessed” with hockey and that I “go crazy” about it. I just really love it. The point I’m getting to is that Mary is twice as bad as I am. She goes absolutely bonkers over some hockey and I love it. It’s great that even though we love different teams, the sport itself brings us even closer because we love it so much.</span></div>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">She is a mind reader. I don’t know if she can read everyone’s mind, but she can read mine. We’ll be writing and she’ll message me about an idea just as I’m about to message her. She’ll post something on Facebook just as I was about to start typing up my own post. Wait a second. Maybe I’m actually reading her mind, but I have a delayed reaction...</span></div>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Mary is an extremely busy person. I have no clue how she gets everything done with as busy as she is! She’s a great multi-tasker obviously. She must be. </span></div>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">She has 5 degrees! </span></div>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;"><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">She can find the PERFECT songs for scenes. I don’t know how she does it, but it seems like it comes to her naturally to find the most amazing songs to go with scenes.</span></div>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="font-weight: normal; list-style-type: decimal; vertical-align: baseline;">She has a big heart. This sort of goes back to number one on my list, but it should be said anyway. Mary is a loving, sweet person and I'm so thankful to know her!<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></li>
</ol>
<br /><span style="font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><span style="font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Check back Thursday to see the ten things that Mary learned about me!</span></span></b>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-59622667667961059812013-08-14T15:34:00.000-04:002013-08-14T15:34:23.158-04:00BREAKAWAY is here!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Even though LP and I have only been writing since May, it seems like we’ve been writing forever. Strange, I know?! I was lucky enough to actually meet LP, in person, last Saturday and it was amazing! She’s an incredible person and </span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: italic; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">real</span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">! After we parted ways, I started thinking about how this whole whirlwind started and I thought that LP and I would share the story with you.</span></div>
<br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I have been a blogger for almost 3 years and have been involved with the Indie Community since day one. Through that, I met LP. I met her when another blogger suggested I read her book, Sweetness. I loved that book, to this day! Jake and Emily are amazing characters. Once I did my reviews of all the books that were out (at that time), I found LP on Twitter. It was there I found out she was a hockey fan and I began to stalk her (don’t judge I only stalk the best *wink*). It was during the lock-out, this past season, that we grew closer and then I ended up writing my book, Melting Away the Ice. I asked LP to read it and was extremely shocked when she said yes. I mean, come on … this is Lindsay Paige! She is one of my faves! (I may have fan-girl scream when she said yes to read it). Anyway, one thing lead to another and I was at my day job when she sent me a message via Twitter, saying she was sending me an email. Well, of course I was refreshing my email like mad to figure out what she wanted. Finally, the email came and she asked me to co-author with her. First, I screamed (yes, literally) and second, I may have fainted (slightly) and third, my co-workers really figured out that I was a loon. Nonetheless, I sent an email back, as fast as my fingers could type “YES”. LP’s response was, “Wanna think about it?” and I said “NO”. I’m a person of few words, when I’m excited! </span></div>
<br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">That is definitely true. When I emailed Mary and she responded, I was overwhelmed by her excitement and willingness. She said yes while only knowing the genre of the books. For a second, I was skeptical that she was agreeing so fast. I kept thinking, “She’s going to hear the full idea and change her mind.” Or “Maybe she’s really busy at work and misread something.” I don’t know what exactly I was thinking, but cowriting was something I have been wanting to do for the </span><span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: italic; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">longest</span><span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> time and I couldn’t believe that it was actually going to happen. Through the whirlwind of emails that were sent that day, I kept waiting for the ball to drop. But then Mary’s excitement never stopped and it was contagious and I was like, “OMG! IT’S </span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span style="color: blue;">HAPPENING!”</span></span></div>
<br /><span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">We hashed out my original idea and molded it to make it our idea. Something we both could see where we wanted to go with the story. We talked about every aspect from the actual writing part to what would happen after we finished. Once we got everything in order, we started writing. Two weeks, people! Two weeks was all it took for us to write the first draft. I was amazed, but hooked on the story and writing with Mary flowed so easily. We talked constantly and when an issue arose, we tackled it in an hour tops. </span></div>
<br /><span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I know that it sounds very strange that we wrote a book in two weeks, but it’s true! We wrote every chance we got. We wrote until wee hours in the morning and even if I had to get up early for work, I didn’t care. This story consumed LP and me from the moment we typed our first sentence. We worked through every detail … together! Never have I been apart of a project that went so smoothly. Now, August 15 is just around the corner! </span></div>
<br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Exactly! Then we started working on the originally planned book two and it was a struggle. We talked it over and changed the plan. You can read more about that in the <a href="http://thepenaltykilltrilogy.blogspot.com/2013/07/updates.html">update post</a> from last week. Working on the second book got Mary and I thinking about how we were already halfway through our project. It’s weird because we think so much alike that’s it’s scary and super freaky. We were thinking the same thing before we even mentioned it to one another. I think Mary was the first to say something about how she would miss working together when the trilogy was over. I may have laughed, but only because I was literally just thinking the same thing. Working on this trilogy with Mary made working on my solo projects hard. I would get to a hard scene and think, “This would be so much easier if I was writing with Mary. She could help me out or just take over.” I love working with her and it definitely helps that we think so alike or in those moments when we don’t, we’re able to think of something together that we’re both happy with. </span></div>
<br /><span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I don’t remember who said what, but we definitely came to the conclusion that we wouldn’t mind working together on more projects after this one was finished. Nothing is planned, but the option is there. Plus, we have a lot of stuff planned individually as well that we are working on.</span></div>
<br /><span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="font-weight: bold; line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">LP is telling you the truth. I was a little emotional thinking that we already halfway through book two and book three would be knocking on our door to be written and then...well, it would be over. I have the same problem with my solo projects. I’m always wondering what LP would do (</span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: italic; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">might need to put that on a tshirt W.W.L.P.D?</span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">) But, I’m glad that we talked about it and have the option to write more. LP’s talent has no bounds and even though I still hate commas, my writing is improving! I have her to thank for that! </span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Thanks LP!</span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></div>
<br /><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><span style="color: blue; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-weight: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Oh, Mary gives me too much credit, but there you go! That’s our story on how we got to this point. We’re very excited about this project and hopefully, in the future, we’ll bring you more books from the both of us. </span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-39691274257255466882013-07-29T17:43:00.001-04:002013-07-29T17:43:56.671-04:00Monday's MusicHi everyone, Mary here.<br />

Hey everyone! We have a couple things to update you on today.<br />
<br />
First things first, we are in the process of getting a cover made for <i>Breakaway</i>! We hope to share it with you soon.<br />
<br />
Secondly, we're really excited about <i>Breakaway</i> and have fallen in love with the characters. So much so, that the entire trilogy will be about Levi and Presley. Originally, we planned to give three pairs of characters a book to make up the trilogy, giving insights to the other characters' lives as we went. Levi and Presley hooked us and quite frankly, stole the show.<br />
<br />
We started a good chunk of the originally planned book two and it just wasn't working. Levi and Presley were popping in to scenes like crazy, practically begging for us to come back to them. It was a struggle to write with the second pair and not let Levi and Presley dominate the scenes. Therefore, we agreed to give them what they wanted.<br />
<br />
Thirdly, Levi and Presley can now be found on Twitter. We thought this would be a cool way for readers to interact with them and to get a feel for the characters before the release. Plus, like we said, we're hooked on these two and to further bring them to life is an opportunity we jumped at. You can follow the trilogy <a href="https://twitter.com/PKtrilogy">here</a>, Levi <a href="https://twitter.com/Levi_Carr_10">here</a>, and Presley <a href="https://twitter.com/PresleyMcCarthy">here</a>.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by for the updates! Don't forget to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ThePenaltyKillTrilogy">like us on Facebook</a> so we can share a Breakaway teaser at 100 likes!<br />
<br />
Happy Reading!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16464611472455320935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3406450076768042572.post-31447866718966170322013-07-22T20:53:00.001-04:002013-07-22T20:53:43.374-04:00Monday's MusicHey y'all! My anxiety was out of control and daydreams were my escape. Jake and Emily’s story came from that. When it wouldn’t get out of my head on its own, I started writing as means to do so. After that, I fell in love with writing and have been doing it ever since!</span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #bf9000;"><em>Hopeless</em> by Colleen Hoover</span></span></div>
<br /><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br />

<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Who is the hottest book boyfriend you’ve ever read?</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #bf9000;">Hottest? I would have to say Nix from Off Limits by Sawyer Bennett. Love me some Nix!</span></span></div>
<br /><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br />
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">If you were on a desert island and had a choice between a kindle full of unlimited books or Sidney Crosby, which would you choose?</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #bf9000;">No doubt, I would choose Sidney Crosby. Me & him all alone on a deserted island? There would be a 50/50 chance that we would get along, right? Of course, I would have to take that chance/opportunity! Plus, a kindle would eventually die and I doubt the island has an plugs. See? I thought ahead!</span></span></div>
<br /><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br />
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Okay, okay let’s ask about those darn Penguins. Who is your favorite player and why?</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #bf9000;">I have two favorites because I can’t possibly choose between them. Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin because they are both awesome. Just watch them play and you’ll see.</span></span></div>
<br /><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br />
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Why the Penguins and have you ever liked another team before?</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #bf9000;">Okay, so don’t judge me after you hear my story. The BFF introduced me to hockey and I became a Hurricanes fan by association. Justin Williams was my favorite and I was pissed when he got traded. I realized that if I was going to be a true hockey fan, I needed to find a team where I liked a lot of the players and one I could be loyal to no matter what. I began my search, stumbled upon Sidney Crosby and the Penguins, and fell in love. It was like a match made in heaven, especially since penguins are one of my favorite animals. Been a fan ever since! This year, it’s gotten really serious. BFF says I’m obsessed. Haha!</span></span></div>
<br /><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br />
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Are you a Kindle girl or would you rather have a physical book in hand?</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #bf9000;">Darn technology! I’m a Kindle girl, but I still love my paperbacks. However, I've gotten where I only want the paperback if I really loved it.</span></span></div>
<br /><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br />
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">What is the one thing that has surprised you about co-author with me? For me, it’s how easy our ideas flowed and we always listened to each other’s suggestions.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #bf9000;">I was mostly surprised by how creepy we are with our thoughts. I would ask a question and while I was typing my answer, you were too, and BAM! They were almost identical. The fact that we think so alike really surprised me...and creeped me out, as evident by the song I have deemed our theme song. <strong><em>Creepin’ by Eric Church</em></strong>. Another thing that surprised me was the scale of your awesomeness. I knew you were awesome beforehand, but working with you and talking to you almost every day had your awesomeness blowing me away!</span></span></div>
<br /><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br />
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">What are you most excited about for Book 1: Breakaway that you want everyone to know? </span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #bf9000;">Levi. Watch out, ladies. Levi Carr stole our hearts and we’re sure he’s going to steal yours as well. There’s more than meets the eye with him. Out of all the characters I’ve written, he’s my favorite. </span></span></div>
<br /><span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"></span><br />
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;">Now rumor has it that you may like a certain Blackhawks player *cough* Patrick Sharp *cough* is that because of all the brainwashing I’ve been doing to you? Should I purchase your first Blackhawks jersey for you? *wink*</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="color: #bf9000;">I was waiting on this question. I won't confirm nor deny the rumor. What I will say is that if I <em>happen</em> to like Patrick Sharp, it would be because of all your brainwashing, Mary. If you felt inclined to buy something based whether I <em>may</em> like him, a jersey isn't necessary. <em>If</em> the rumor is true, though, a t-shirt would be just fine. ;)</span></span></div>

<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Hey everyone! I decided that I wanted to interview Mary and today, I’m sharing that interview. Thanks for dealing with my questions and teasing, Mary! </span></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>Alrighty, Mary. What is your favorite book of all time? Only one! </b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">That is simple, it is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I have read it a million times. Mr. Darcy was one of my first book boyfriends</span><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>If you could meet any author, who would it be and why?</b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Well, this is hard, but besides Lindsay Paige *wink* I would love to meet Rachel Higginson. She is THE ONLY author, the ONLY, who has sucked me into a world that world and I never want to leave. On top of that, she is the only author to make me fall in love with character, then hate that same character, and then fall in love with character again.</span><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>Who is your current book boyfriend?</b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">O..M..G!! I have to choose only one!!!! That is nuts!!! *deepbreath*</span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Well, I guess Levi from LP’s and my new series.</span><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>What was the last book you read that you really enjoyed?</b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Since I have writing with LP and my own book I haven’t read much, but I did just finish two: AnguiSH by Lila Felix and Always by Lindsay Paige.</span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>How did you come to love hockey and the Chicago Blackhawks? Who is your favorite player?</b></span></div>
<a name='more'></a><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Well. I was born in Chicago and raised in Illinois and Blackhawks is the way of life there. It was the first game that I ever went too and I fell in love with it. It was an intense game and I loved every moment of it. </span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">My current favorite is Patrick Sharp. I have liked him for several years. He is such an amazing player and very under rated in the public eye. However, this Stanley Cup final he is getting some great publicity.</span></div>
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>It has recently come about that you think two Penguins players are cute and that you are a secret fan of them. Have you come to terms with that yet since you are a huge Blackhawks fan? Have you caved and bought jerseys with their number on it yet? ;)</b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Really? Are you serious? I am forever a Blackhawks fan and no no no no there are no outstanding order (nor any orders at all) for any penguins gear/jersey.</span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<b><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I’ll step away from the hockey questions for now. What is one thing on your bucket list?</span><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></b></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Okay, so people find this strange, but I would like to drive all 48 states. Just get into my car and go. But, it's an impossible task. However, I will remain hopeful!</span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<b><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Not strange at all! I want to do something similar to that as well. </span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<b><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<b><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?</span><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></b></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I would love to be fast, like Flash. Because I work two jobs and write all the time, so I wish I would be faster at things and it would help with my time management. </span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>Favorite food?</b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">So, I love all types of food BUT the one thing I love the most is PASTA!!! I make plain pasta with a little butter, salt and pepper, and eat it away.</span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>I'm a huge lover of pasta! </b></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit; line-height: 1.15; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: inherit; line-height: 1.15; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>We’ve only been working on the PK trilogy for about a month now and I’ve already brought you to the Penguins side via two players. (Maybe not a fan of the team, but you like the players...) Anyway, with two more books planned after this one, how do you plan on keeping yourself from liking more of those players? And really, can’t you root (and like) two teams? :D Your loyalty can still be with the Blackhawks first and foremost. ;)</b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Okay, Okay, Okay I will slightly admit that I like the Penguins. I am a fan of Marc Andre Fleury, because he is hilarious. I do not know how I can’t love more players, because hockey is a family through and through. We might dislike each other but when you are the greatest player, everyone knows it (aka Sidney Crosby). But I will always support my Blackhawks.</span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>Stepping away from hockey again. Besides reading, writing, and watching hockey, what other things do you like to do?</b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I am a HUGE movie fan. I love love love going to the movies. Old, New, Kids, Horror, it doesn’t matter, I love it all</span><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>What one place in the world would you like to visit?</b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">I love cold climates so Alaska, Russia, Canada are some of my favorite spots!</span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>I want to visit those places too! </b></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;">
<span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>Last one, because if not, I’ll go on and on with questions. What is one band that you haven’t seen in concert before that you would really like to? Favorite song by them?</b></span></div>
<br /><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">There are a few bands/singers that I would like to see in concert. But one that comes to mind is Breaking Benjamin. My fave song is “Breath”. It means a lot to me!!</span></span><br />
<span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></span></span>
<span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b>Thanks again, Mary! I hope you all enjoyed learning more about her. </b></span></span></span><br />
<span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><b><br /></b></span></span></span>
